The Bobcat Athletic Teams are gearing up for playoff competition. The Cross Country Boys and Girls Teams are headed to Lubbock after successful district showings. The Girls Cross Country runners finished as the District Champions at the district competition and the Boys Cross Country runners finished as the district runner up at the same District Meet. The Bobcat and Lady Bobcat runners have worked hard all season long and are now reeping the rewards of their efforts. They will be running in Lubbock for their regional competition and will be aiming at a birth in the State Meet. I would like to congratulate all these runners as they show that Bobcat Pride in their effort to advance to State.
The Varsity Bobcat football Team is currently setting with a 7-1 record as we go to print. The Bobcats need to win one of their last two district games to advance to the playoffs. The boys have been working extremely hard and are confident they will be playoff participants. Their goals have not changed all year, as they search for their Gold Ball.
The Junior Varsity footballers finished with a 6-3 record on the year, with their only losses coming to Canadian and Stratford. It was a very successful year. Bobcats players earned the respect from opponents and teammates by gaining valuable experience that will allow them to be successful on the Varsity level in the future years.
Sincerely,
Coach McAlister
