The first semester just flew by and now we are ready to begin the second semester. 

Some students in kindergartern through sixth grade are participating in PIPs.  They will perform during a lot of our home high school basketball games.  They also have the opportunity to perform at a Harlem Globetrotters game on Tuesday, January 6.  Also students in the same grade will be participating in our PTO Basketball Tournament at the end of February.  Tryouts were held on Monday, January 5 for the students in the following grades:  Kindergarten, First and Second Grade.  We will be sending home practice and scrimmage schedules.

We will be starting the extended day later on this month to begin preparing for the TAKS test in March.  TAKS Reading for 3rd Grade will be in March.  The other TAKS test will be in April.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, January 29th from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.  Third and fourth grade will have their conferences in the lunch room so that parents can visit with other teachers besides just the homeroom teacher.  The other grades will meet in their classrooms.
