At Sunray Middle School things are changing. It seems that just yesterday we were entering school with the students anticipating new challenges, now here were are in the 10th week of school. Along with the weather changing from warm temperatures to cool ones, we are facing students doing different things at the school. As a successful football season winds up in the next couple of weeks for the Jr. High boys, the girls are preparing for the upcoming basketball season that I am sure will be equally successful.
In the band the students are going from learning how to play, to playing recognizable music for the upcoming Christmas concert on December 17th.
Academically, the many of the students are preparing for the upcoming UIL academic competition on November 16th that Sunray will be hosting at Frank Phillips College.
Believe it or not, we have already hosted two parent-teacher conferences since school has started.
Students are always encouraged to stay busy outside school, but this is crazy. Somewhere in here students are expected to do their work for School, but we should not expect too much from them huh?
